Audi TT launch at Ali & Sons Audi Centre in Abu Dhabi – UAE.

Mr Ralph Weyler, Member of the Board for Marketing and Sales of AUDI AG, was kind enough to join us on this auspicious occasion.

From the day of its launch in autumn 1998, the Audi TT took the sports coupé segment by storm and quickly became a cult car.

The design of the first generation TT adhered to the pure geometric lines of the Bauhaus style of the 1920s.

For the new TT, Audi has retained this timeless genetic code and enhanced it further to become more sporty, expressive, and mature in both interior and exterior design.

As you will have noticed, we have given our showroom a completely new look this evening and transformed it into an art gallery.

The new Audi TT is Pure Energy.

Its design is celebration for the senses. The muscular shoulder line, powerfully designed wheel arches, and a domed roof with a low-slung cabin, make the design of the new Audi TT Coupé more striking than ever.

The TT also stands for technology of the highest calibre with two different engine concepts that are sure to thrill drivers. Firstly, the 2.0 TFSI engine with petrol direct injection, turbocharger and an output of 200 horsepower.

In the top version, the impressive six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3.2 litres, 250 horsepower and a tremendous torque of 320 N-m. The ultramodern engine technology is matched by lightning-fast shifting with a six-speed S tronic dual clutch transmission and the aluminium body concept (Audi Space Frame®) further increases dynamism and ensures powerful acceleration and lower fuel consumption.

Xenon headlights, Audi parking system for the rear, fine Nappa leather surfaces on the interior, electric sports seats, a three-spoke leather multifunctional steering wheel – all these great features come as a standard and complete the sporty package of this amazing sports car. The enormous variety of combinations in technology – including the Audi magnetic ride and Bose surround sound system – colours and materials allow drivers to create their own personalised work of art.

The first generation Audi TT was an excellent ambassador for Audi’s sportiness in the region and has already become a collector’s item. Replacing an icon is close to impossible, but with the new TT Audi designers have achieved just this.
